Great tomato overview! I didn't know that tip about sniffing the blossom end. We made tomato soup with a bunch of field seconds I took home, but your recipe here reminded me how nice it would be if I added a little heat to it. Thanks!

Is this the salad you served tonight 7/15/10 at the QA Farmers Mkt? one of ingredients you mentioned tonight was vanilla. How much? 1/2 t? Also tonight's salad had creme fraiche--seems as if I should use that, not yogurt or sour cream. Salad was fabulous! Also opened magazine Veranda tonight - and there YOU were with all those summer drinks! What a lucky coincidence! Wish I had known all this when I saw you at the market at 5. Can't wait to make the salad and am delighted to know of you!

Michael,

I am national sales manager for the importer of Zaccagnini. If you let me know where your shop is, I can have my local distributor follow up. There are a few states where we are not distributed, but chances are we can get to you.

Hi Shalene, it freezes beautifully. It's a great way to make summer last well into Fall.
